Lakes & Cumbria Today

the Lake District and Cumbria’s biggest-selling and longest-established visitor guide

Who we are

Our history

Lakes & Cumbria Today was first produced by Stuart Bell and Alistair Thompson in 1999 as a way to share their love of the area with avid readers. The guide has since grown in popularity and is now the biggest-selling and longest-established guide to the Lake District.

With Stuart and Alistair retiring, today the guide is published by Offstone Publishing – a Northumberland-based publishing house with a number of tourism, hospitality and niche magazine titles covering areas of interest across the UK.
